Technology Blogs - from Firehose to a Drip

Ignoring the news postings abuse from such entities like eweek, linux today, etc..... I use to get over 1000 posts a week....now the posts are but a trickle (i.e. several 100).

Does this represent the start of the downturn in tech blogs or is it due to the shorten availability of sunlight in the northern hemisphere?
