Save time Searching...BUT What about storing information ?

So there is a lot of hype and statistics about how much time we can save by using search products on our desktop or within enterprise such as:

http://www.researchbuzz.com/sevenways.pdf

http://www.google.com/enterprise/mini/

http://www.live.com/

Desktop Search via Windows or Google Toolbar......

BUT what about the time we spend filing and storing the information...HOW about someone devising a better approach to address this area.
